I remember because I was living in the Mile High City at the time.

Yes it was and I think he started for his Pop Warner Team.

Unfortunately it doesn't look as if Griffin is going to get the chance to run an NFL offense. This hybrid that extends to what Griffin did at Baylor I think takes some of the fear and learning out of the equation.

In the short run that might have produced results but in the long run Griffin especially if the injury costs him speed and mobility is going to have to learn what Luck learned from the pocket in 2012.

BT, just cut it out man. He's running an NFL offense until defenses show they can stop it. If its not an NFL offense, then why are the 49ers & Seahawks copying it? Why will the teams that draft Geno Smith & Johnny Football copy it?

4 or 5 teams ran versions of the run and shoot too back in the 80's when Mouse Davis was thought to be a genius.

The truth is these fads come and go but in the end you win by blocking and tackling and keeping your best players on the field.

Schemes that do that allow you to contend more consistently.

Kaepernick? He hasn't proven that much. SF went to him because of their frustration with Smith.

Remember Harbaugh made a late charge to try and get Peyton Manning.

Kaepernick and a change in the offense was not Harbaugh's first choice.
