Good time as any to transition from Preseason to Regular Season regarding the roster. Kick it off with your first official depth chart.

Haskins under center

Marcus Baugh motions into FB

Designed Haskins run

I doubt we see this with any regularity but I think this is further evidence that pre-snap motion and player versatility is the focus in this offense.

I feel like I’m one of the few who expects good things from this team this season. I know Haskins is still a big unknown as are a number of players, but we have a lot of young talent on this roster. These young guys, they don’t know they are supposed to underperform and make soul-crushing mistakes at critical times. Between a younger roster and a professional coaching staff, I could see them going .500 or better.

I know - apparently that’s crazy talk :):banhim::doh1::yikes:

Assume this is a short term backup plan in the event Hopkins gets Covid.

This man is built for the backfield. When we drafted him my brain put him at slot but this guy is stout and can move...

I was extremely excited when they drafted him, once I put together who he was...and what I'd seen in the AAC games I watched. he completely took over games, especially the regular season finale that decided the AAC.

Imagine him lining up in the backfield next to McKissick and going out in motion for some poor LB to cover him.

Living here in the Memphis area, I was able to see many of Antonio's games. I figured there was no way we would get him - Bruce and Jay would muck it up. Then a good thing happened. Bye Bruce. Bye Jay.

I have been so happy about AG for several months now. Many of you will see why in the coming months.

IMHO this is not on Haskins. Quinn is established with position on the LB. In the process of the throw, Quinn slid out of the hole. AT WORST this should have been an incomplete pass if no. 46 makes a good play. The ball was low so there was no real way the defender can get over the top of Quinn.. it's either a catch or an incomplete pass if Quinn doesn't slide.

Or...if Haskins recognizes the LB crashing down, sees Quinn move to the open space, there is room for a big gain?

I don't think so. 58 is there. IF he hits Quinn, in the 'new' area he slid to, 58 has a play on the ball.

LB is breaking because Haskins was looking at Quinn almost the whole way. Quinn did break out of it, but the pass should never have been thrown.

Quinn may have some responsibility, but I would not give Haskins a pass.

It's difficult to tell without knowing the route.

Haskins stares down Quinn the entire time and throws to the spot where Quinn is/was. Quinn continues the route as if that's not where the pass is supposed to go.

It looks like a pretty standard zone style pass play. Find a hole and sit down. Quinn moved AFTER Haskins arm started moving.

I dont know, I can't really blame Haskins. Quinn flashed open, Haskins had a clear lane, he took it. Quinn has settled down and stopped running.. As he's throwing to an open Quinn... he moves resulting in an INT.

Have you ever...lol?
And won't. There is a reason the odds makers are saying he will be the first QB benched for non injury related reasons.

If you want to get the best pulse on what's happening in sports, it's the bookies/odds makers in Vegas.
