The Giants, last season's Superbowl champs, fresh off a serious beat-down of a hot 49ers team, in the lead in the NFCE; Why, one might think they'd...

If we can keep RG3 in the pocket, we'll be fine. He has a good arm but he's more dangerous when he's on the run...
Hilarious how people keep saying crap like this.
Like it's the robotic, mind-less, parroting, buzz-phrase, meaningless thing to say, as if RG3 is just a clone of the one-dimensional Michael Vick, when there's absolutely no evidence to back that up. RG3 can JUST AS EASILY beat you with his arm, as he can with his legs. Most of his runs were DESIGNED runs - NOT DESPERATION runs. He did not make those big runs because he had nothing to pass to. He did it because THAT WAS THE CALLED PLAY.
Just look at his stats. ALL his stats are impressive. RG3 is NO SLOUCH when it comes to throwing the ball. He reads defenses well, he zips the ball in there fast, he's super accurate, and his longest TD play was still a pass play to Garcon, NOT the 76 yard run.

So go ahead Giants fans, and/or Giants, and assume that if you "force RG2 to throw" on any given play, that suddenly he will be shut down. You'll be in for a rude awakening when you see what he's highly capable of, in the air.

Mike, after doing this for a while now, and it started with a general tendency I had to peruse what other team fans thought of what was going on with the Redskins and what they thought of the idea of playing them, I can tell you three or four things.

First, I have deliberately tried to filter out the obviously nasty, "hater" type insulting posts that don't have anything substantive to say other than a general "the Skins suck" type statement-I also ignore the obscene stuff as useless noise. I aim for a general sense of what the consensus among the fans is about what the prospects of the game are-good or bad, and try to insert an approximately representative sample of those who think their team will probably win and those who think their team will probably lose. The culling out of snarky "hater" type stuff is probably why the postings I use sound more intelligent...they are.

Second, within the NFCE the Giants fans have shown a lower proportion of the "hater" type posts than either Eagles or Dallas fans. I'm not sure why, but my feel has been that way for some time when visiting their respective fan forums.

Third,-and this has been one of the major trends I've noticed in every Redskins Recon I've done so far this season-largely thanks to RG3, Alfred Morris and others and in general our ability to pile up points on just about anybody we play, we are being respected at a level I haven't seen in several years as a Redskins fan. The sheer number of disparaging remarks aimed at the Skins, their fans, the players, the organization..have decreased noticeably across the board-even in fan forums of teams we don't play. There are still "haters" out there, but not as many as before and those that are there are being outnumbered by the ones who-if not fans of the Redskins-are at least showing interest rather than just shouting something randomly ugly.

Mike, we're actually starting to get the respect we've longed for-lots of other team fans love watching RG3 and have said as much and the Redskins are being followed by way more people than you might think-including fans of teams not on our schedule. We're one of the most exciting things going on in the league and the old nasty hate of the past dozen or so years is starting to diminish.

All it took was showing that we could earn their respect through how we played on the field.

Respect? Hell, when it comes to Robert, a good many of the fans of teams we play are just scared ****less of him. :)
