We have had a blast being your favorite Redskins and WFT watering hole for the past decade. We had a great run and each of you were a part of it. After keeping rookie running back Roy Helu on a short leash for the last six weeks, Washington Redskins coach Mike Shanahan finally turned the Nebraska product loose against the Seattle Seahawks Sunday.

Helu, whom Washington drafted in the fourth round of last April’s draft, responded by rushing for a career-high 108 yards on 23 carries (4.7 ypc average) and a touchdown.

I was/am a big Portis fan and I think most of you know that. At least, I was a fan of his on the field performance. Never really cared for his off the field stuff, except for how he carried himself following Taylor's death.

However, count me officially a fan of Helu on and OFF the field. This kind of statement right here will have me pulling for this kid every week. No doubt, it makes him a fav of his offensive teammates too. Love reading this kind of thing.
