Redskins' Hightower out for year, Moss 5-7 weeks

ASHBURN, Va. (AP) - Washington Redskins running back Tim Hightower is out for the season with a torn ACL in his left knee, and receiver Santana Moss will miss 5-7 weeks with a broken bone in his left hand.

The Redskins have now lost five offensive starters to significant injuries in the last two games.

The loss to the Panthers had already closed the door on this season so, while it sucks for Hightower and Moss, it gives the young guys a chance to show what they can do.

With six games down, and Moss out for up to seven more, do you go ahead and put him on IR or do you hold a spot for him to return? If we were 4-2, or looked like we had a legitimate shot at a playoff spot, I'd be inclined to wait but now I'm not so sure.
