Random Commanders Thoughts

12) Washington Football Team
The Football Team has one of the most well-rounded rosters in the league. They have arguably the most talented defense in the league and have worked extensively to add weapons offensively around their journeyman quarterback, Ryan Fitzpatrick. Curtis Samuel gives Washington a legitimate secondary weapon opposite of Terry McLaurin. Moreover, they drafted Dyami Brown in the third round, which many believed was excellent value. The addition of Charles Leno Jr. also means that Samuel Cosmi gets to develop at his own pace instead of being thrust to the wolves at left tackle.

Clearly subliminal subterfuge being perpetrated here ...

Interesting video ... I hate it when people compare older generation players with new .. I didn’t like the way he said let’s face it Ryan wasn’t keeping offensive coordinators up at night .. How does he know he’s a journalist.. you mean to tell me offensive coordinators weren’t game planning for him . I find that hard to believe... Having said that Dexter Manley should be recognized as our orgs sack leader .. plain and simple he had more sacks then Kerrigan

If Kerrigan was used the way Kerrigan 'should' have been (just my opinion) I think he ends up in Canton. Our defensive scheme, over his entire career, didn't use him 'correctly' until this past season. Had we employed him as primarily a pass rushing specialist, he potentially has even better numbers because he's not asked to be covering TEs or RBs, he's not dropping into zone... his body is more fresh.

Well the Cleveland Indians are no more. Welcome Cleveland Guardians. I told my wife that they changed their name already, and she asked me, to what, the Cleveland Baseball Team? CBT?

I continue to be very impressed with the quality of character possessed by the guys this team adds to the roster.

C’mon man he had the honor of working under Hazmat AND Joe Dinglebarry. RK has no excuse!

;)

Ryan Kerrigan was a consistently good player. What I didn't see from him was an elevation of his game in the few big games this team had, including the playoff game at home against Green Bay. He was neutralized by the better LTs in the NFL when the chips were down.

I saw Dexter Manley play often in the 1980's and his level of play often elevated based upon the competition and the stakes.

His play in the mid-1980's was stellar, especially 1986 when he finished with 18.5 sacks and was largely unstoppable.

His speed and athleticism puts him a head above Kerrigan as an impact player.

Ron is stating that the QB comp is between Ryan and Taylor right now and Kyle has a chance when he gets healthy.

Made me laugh

Wasn’t there talk earlier in the year about the team and Richmond not wanting to do business with each other?

And don't forget the years he had no real help along the line to keep him from being double teamed consistently. I remember seeing entire games where Kerrigan was doubled teamed on almost every single down.

Dexter's advantage was having others along the line who kept opposing teams from being able to double team Dexter. Before Charles Mann, there was an interior with Grant and Butz that would keep teams from being able to slide the extra OL over to Dexter.

I still think Dexter was the better DE, though.

Sadly no. He would be starting his 18th year right now, which is a very long career for a safety. But the way the league has trended the last several years, he probably would have retired around 5 or 6 years ago. Big hitters just aren’t encouraged any more. I think he would have not been able to play his game and would called it a career. Sadly, we will never know.

Cosmi out there looking like a stud.
