Random Commanders Thoughts

Some of what Williams has said makes no medical sense. I'd include this as one of them.

I agree completely. No doctor is going to give hard line numbers on mortality being everybody responds differently.

I'll echo thoughts already said here, I don't believe all that TW is spewing. There are different types of chemo, and there's radiation treatment.

How can you sit on something like that for 6 years?!

Maybe it's just me, but I know when something is wrong with me. I feel it. I may not know what it is, but I know.

.

Had a spot on my back. Never bothered me, but the wife kept busting my stones.... for about 5 years. Went to a dermatologist who took a biopsy. Phone call 2 days later saying I had a rare type of melanoma, life threatening, and my need emergency surgery. Spindle cell melanoma has a similar trait, as it goes in with roots instead of spreading on the surface. I have a 13 inch scar on my back for a spot no bigger then your pinkey finger nail. Had two lymph nodes removed as this stuff travels fast. I got lucky being it's very aggressive, and fast developing. Trents condition seems to be serious, but being blown completely out of proportion as a power play from where I stand.

Again, Snyder allowed Bruce to stonewall on a trade and end up with Trent back in DC holding court.

The Redskins are going to pay as Trent will spend the rest of the season talking to the media and being a major distraction.

This was so easily foreseeable for anyone with a thinking brain.

No guarantee Pothead would have passed another teams physical either BD. Which would have voided any trade.

And, a reminder, it was about the money. There would have needed to be an agreement between Pothead and the new club before any trade would happen.

Pothead said in his Poor Poor Pitiful Me interview, that he'd be a fool to play without guaranteed money.

The team said from the beginning that they would not trade him, or redo his contract. They have kept their word on that.
The liar in the room looks to be Trent Williams. Until proven otherwise.

We now return you to the "2019 24/7 BruceBash."

The funny thing about his woe-is-me presser is that this year is guaranteed. It's next year that isn't. Now... if he played, he'd get paid. If he got cut just to free the money off the books, someone would have signed him. It's not like he'd be at the Sisters of the Worthless Miracle asking for alms for the poor.

I still am not buying his bullshit about what happened with his medical, especially in light of the fact he can say whatever he wants and HIPAA laws prevent the 'Skins from doing so. Double-especially in light of Charlie Casserley saying the team told him to get a second-opinion and he never did it. Casserley says he knew about it three years ago, but not sure exactly when it happened.

Disagree. Had the team docs said "you have cancer" what's the first thing any person would do? Get a second opinion. Well, same holds more so the other way around. It doesn't go away but grows?!!! I might buy into his narrative for a year or two...but six years? Time to play the BS/common sense card.

I am empathetic.....but today's sequence of events was scripted by Williams and his advisers a long time ago. An obvious subtext to all of this is getting his money before the 10 game marker. Just as the helmet escape hatch strikes me as planned well in advance....cuz he never intended to play and said nothing. He didn't try a helmet all these months? uh huh. Hope he enjoyed his vacation in the sunny Caribbean with his family while the hold-out went down.

Recall, no one knew this was cancerous until the thought to be cyst was removed and examined.

I get Williams' anger, but he didn't play this very well either....partly because he has multiple objectives IMO.

Allen, of course, totally screwed the pooch. Is anyone surprised? Yet Snyder keeps his little buddy on the dole.

again, you generally trust team doctors, after all they want you healthy and on the field. when I was in college, I woke up one morning with a blinding pain in my foot, they xrayed my foot and said I had turf toe. so after a week of no relief from the pain, I almost had to redshirt my season. keep in mind I was playing through a totator cuff injury and an impinged ac joint so pain tolerance isnt an issue for me, yet the team docs kept saying " dont worry 2 weeks rest and it should be fine. after 4 weeks it was actually worse. I finally went to a doctor in the emergency room, because the pain was unreal and I hadnt slept longer than an hour in 6 days, they told me my kidneys were failing, my blood was acidic and I was days away from having to be on dialisys. after that I always got second opinions but I thought a team doctor would be able to diagnose something like friggin kidney failure.

Again...I trust my chiropractor, but when I had a growth on my back, I went to a dermatologist. You keep repeating the same thing expecting us to trust it. Normal people see specialists when they have a problem and the rest of your post supports that. After 6 weeks, you got a 2nd opinion. Well...Trent went 6 years without getting a 2nd opinion.

And...they told him to get a 2nd opinion.

After this Sunday in Buffalo, I think we could be drafting a QB in 2020. Haskins is being fed to the wolves and if he plays the 2 nd half of the season then we will know what he's capable of...especially if we have 5 stud Olineman.

I doubt it. While AZ set the precedent, I don't see Snyder admitting he was wrong and taking a QB in consecutive years, in the 1st round.

The one thing I will give the Skins credit for over the last 20 years is we've only had 2 LT's...at least they got that right. I am pretty sure that will be their move next year.

I had this guy in my way too early mock in BB's thread. I believe we can trade down to grab him while adding more mid round picks.

Trey Adams, OT, Washington
Height: 6-7. Weight: 334.

Snyders dumb ass will trade all of next years picks to the Dolphins in order to move up to the #1 spot and get a LT. Because you know, with a NEW LT AND Alex Smith coming back, we're headed to the SUPER BOWL BABY! Oh, and he'll trade Trent away for an 8th round pick in 2030 and a ham sammich.

Elephant - I wasn't thinking about the 1st round, but if we can manage to get a 2nd round pick back, I would start looking at some QBs. With this Oline a mess and a backup QB who's injuring prone. I just pray that Danny's pick can pick up the Not Fun League's defenses and get rid of the ball in time before he's the 4th injured Redskins QB. Then who do we call, Ghostbusters? :yawnee:

The Dolphins lost so that's good.

We need them and a few others to continue losing and we might make something of this season.

This team has a coaching staff that has no clue on how to put their players in the best possible position to succeed.

And for all the talk that the staff was worried about Haskins' situational awareness, it possesses little of it's own.

Fire Bruce and clean house.

We already know the offense is pop warner league quality. There is some talent on defense but I just can't bring myself to watch them play any longer - they flat out suck. Poor tackling, poor angles, LBs like Holcolm who play way above their level - but don't have the athletic talent to sack a QB when they have him dead to rights, a weak secondary....and above all else.....a hopelessly outclassed DC who can't use the talent he has effectively. After Gruden, Manusky was the next guy on my "kick his arse out the door" list. What difference does it make whether we clean house now or or later - the results are the same. It is clear as all day we do not have imaginative, tough coaches. WE HAVE EXACTLY WHAT WE RECIEVE: LOSERS.

As for Allen...that's all on DS. You're a moron Dan.

Only intended to keep this particualr thought on-line for five mins.

Redskins have now gone 3 straight games without a TD for the first time in their 88-year history.

Redskins receiver Paul Richardson said, "The message can't keep being, 'We're close, we're close.' The message can't be I'm proud of your guys' effort, get ready for next week. We have to put points on the board, put touchdowns on the board. That's what wins at this level." The Redskins haven't scored a touchdown in their last 13 quarters.
