The Los Angeles Rams have had some of the best defenses in NFL history, ranking first in points allowed four different times and yards allowed four times, as well. Legendary defenders such as Merlin Olsen, Jack Youngblood, Night Train Lane and Aaron Donald have all suited up in horns, just to name a few of the franchise's all-time greats.
When it comes to individual performances in a single game, here are some of the standout performances – from the most total tackles to the most safeties, and everything in between. Donald holds records for the most tackles for a loss and quarterback hits, while three players since 2009 are tied for the most total tackles with 16.
Most tackles: 16, three times
Most sacks (since 1982): 5.0, Gary Jeter (1988 vs. Raiders)
Most tackles for a loss (since 1999): 6, Aaron Donald (2018 vs. 49ers)
Most QB hits (since 2006): 6, two times
Most interceptions: 3, 22 times
Most pick-sixes: 2, Janoris “Jackrabbit” Jenkins (2012 vs. Cardinals)
Most passes defensed (since 1999): 6, two times
Most interception return yards: 107, Aaron Martin (1964 vs. 49ers)
Most forced fumbles (since 1999): 3, Leonard Little (2002 vs. 49ers)
Most fumbles recovered: 3, Brian Young (2003 vs. Ravens)
Most fumble return yards: 98, Toby Wright (1994 vs. Saints)
Most safeties: 2, Fred Dryer (1973 vs. Packers)
