  • The 2020 Season will be the last for our little community. Following the final WFT game of the 2020 season, the site will close it's doors. We wanted to give you a little advance notice so that you could retrieve any photos, content, or other material from the site before it became unavailable, so that you could exchange contact info with anyone you may desire, and ensure that folks would forgo any site donations going forward. We have had a blast being your favorite Redskins and WFT watering hole for the past decade. We had a great run and each of you were a part of it. Thanks to all of you for your amazing contributions and camaraderie. You made this a special place.

REDSKINS READ CHILDREN’S BOOK DRIVE

WASHINGTON REDSKINS CHARITABLE FOUNDATION TO HOLD FOURTH ANNUAL CHILDREN’S BOOK DRIVE IN PARTNERSHIP WITH
EVERYBODY WINS! DC AND BARNES & NOBLE BOOKSELLERS

WHO: Washington Redskins Charitable Foundation will partner with Everybody Wins! DC and Barnes & Noble Booksellers to hold the fourth annual Redskins Read Children’s Book Drive.

WHAT: The highlight of this year’s book drive will be a stadium collection event held this Sunday, September 18 at FedExField when the Redskins play the Arizona Cardinals.

This children’s book drive, part of the Washington Redskins Charitable Foundation’s Redskins Read literacy initiative, will collect new children’s books that will be redistributed throughout the Washington Redskins market to children that could otherwise not afford to purchase books.

Fans are encouraged to bring new children’s books to the game on September 18 and drop them off in the collection bins that will be stationed around the stadium or to make their book donation at any of the 13 participating Barnes & Noble Booksellers stores beginning Sunday, September 18 and running through Saturday, October 1.

If fans are unable to attend the game or wish to make a monetary donation, cash or checks will be accepted both at the game and checks may be mailed to the Charitable Foundation. All checks should be made payable to the “Washington Redskins Charitable Foundation” (a 501c3 nonprofit organization).

Donations may be sent to the Washington Redskins Charitable Foundation c/o Redskins Read Children’s Book Drive, 21300 Redskin Park Drive, Ashburn, VA 20147. All funds collected will be used by Everybody Wins! DC to purchase additional books.

13 participating Barnes & Noble Booksellers stores

WHEN: Sunday, September 18, 2011 from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm at FedExField
