Posting News Articles

Although our ‘Breaking Commanders News’ forum is largely automated, members are welcome to post news here as well. Just a couple things to remember when posting articles:

1. If it truly big 'Breaking News', post your thread in the 'Sons of Washington' forum. The 'Breaking News Forum' is mostly just to alert members of news, we expect big moves to be discussed in our primary Commanders forum.

2. If you do post news in the 'Breaking Commanders News' forum, please click the 'Prefix' drop-down to the left of the title field and select 'Member Posted', then enter the thread title.

3. If you are posting someone else's work/article, always give attribution to the article author and the company they work for.

4. Title your thread clearly so that folks don’t have to open your thread to determine what the article is about.

5. Don’t copy and paste full articles. Including 2-3 paragraphs is fine, and then provide a link to the full article.

Yahoo is consistently listing 5 or 6 of the same article. Not sure what the glitch is FYI

Thanks brother, I’ll take a look at the set up and may be able to tweak

I dialed back the RSS feed frequency and limited it to 2 articles per day. That should mostly fix the issue. Thanks for the heads-up.
