For the first time since Dan Snyder took over control of the team in 1999, the Washington Redskins will start it's 3rd straight season with the same Head Coach, Offensive Coordinator, and Defensive coordinator.

I'm not shocked. This team has been a disaster in terms of organizational quality, control, intelligence, integrity, and consistency since Snyder took over. Shanahan made Snyder give a contract he couldn't afford to buy out; he knew the history too.

You may not like Shanahan. You may not like all the moves that have been made. But, in my opinion, the best thing that's happened to us in 13 years is that Snyder fell in love with Shanahan and Shanahan got a contract that removes Snyder's ability to make any decisions for at least 4 years (i'm convinced snyder can, and will, fire him before the 5th year if he wants to)

It should be noted that we did have the same HC and DC for 4 years under Gibbs II and it was Gibbs' decision to bring in Al Saunders to be the OC after his first 2 years, not Snyder's.

But yeah...sad.
