Before the season, I had this penciled in as a potential loss, mostly as I never expected Washington to be quite this good out of the gate.
Then I started to think that they'd nail this one.
We're at Home and have developed something of a pride in homefield advantage this season.
We're playing maybe our most consistent ball on both sides of the field.
We have momentum and it's real.
Pittsburgh's win list isn't that impressive.
JD is clutch and our offense is humming. The last couple of weeks we've played defenses that have been touted in one form or another and passed the test.
I'd think I'd have felt better facing Fields that Wilson. Not that Wilson is setting the world aflame, but he is showing a willingness to pass downfield and we know how bad our pass defense is.
I don't want us to take Pittsburgh lightly, and I don't think we will. The team has seemed prepared well for every situation we've faced.
I'm also wondering what will happen at the deadline. IT would be nice to see some help coming aboard in the pass defense department.
