Just an fyi, because I don't think a lot of folks know this, but you CAN get NFL Sunday Ticket even if you don't have Directv.

I'm not able to get Directv (even if I wanted to) due to line of sight issues, so I cannot get the NFL Sunday Ticket through my TV the traditional way. Directv does offer an online version of the NFL Sunday Ticket, and they've dropped the pricing this year by $100 (it's $250 for the entire package). I have watched the Redskins online for 3 years now and it has been a great option for me.

It looks like this year, you will be able to watch them via a PS3 if you have one as well, although the app for that isn't available until 9/4, so we'll see if that is an option as well.

You can order the online version here: http://www.directv.com/sundayticketspecial

True dat Mike. I was telling someone the other day, it wasn't that long ago that we offered a super-secret pirated radio signal via winamp at ES, and just being able to give folks the ability to LISTEN to Skins games was 'high tech'. It's amazing how far technology has come in being able to feed your NFL addiction. In the good old days (before the Panthers came along), we got every Skins game here in Carolina. Now, I can't count on being able to watch more than a handful of them. So this is a great (if expensive) option for me.

Just 4 years ago living in Tallahassee I was happy to have Sirius on while following game tracker on NFL.com while chatting at ES.

That's why I still enjoy live games so much. I went so long without much Redskins' exposure unless I was willing to go through the tedious process or go to a bar. With my temper it was wise to stay out of the bars. (Well, once I matured a little)

Good to know....we'll be in San Juan for the opener...and were under the impression that we could watch the game on Fox. Unfortunately, they'll be showing the Eagles/Browns game.

We've been scouring the internet looking for, (and contacting), sports bars with multiple screens that will have the game. So farnone of em have responded.

There are several casinos in the area, but I don't think that casinos in San Juan have a sports books. The place we are staying has 24 screens in the casino, and I'm hoping that they'll have the game on there.

We're almost tempted to drop the $250.00 as to not miss that game...but goddamn...that's a lot of $$$ for a single game and when we go on vacation, we stay off-line, so we don't lug around a laptop.

We'll see....

So frustrated with this...bought it, but have to deal with lagging feeds and often get "internal server errors" and the page doesn't even load. SO ANGRY. Having to watch the Browns game on my phone. Grrr.

Hate to hear it - works perfectly for me LL...know thats got to be frustrating...

Sometimes I get that but can usually get to the application by starting directly from the www.directv.com page.

Tried that, nothing worked. Oh well...at least I was able to watch on my phone.
