It may not be of much interest to many here, but the next broadcasting deal, to cover the 2012 to 2016, has been signed, sealed and delivered. The cost of such a deal is a lazy A$1.253 BILLION over the 5 years. The last deal went for A$780million.
The cash component is $1.118 billion, with $135 million extra in contra arrangements. The cash contribution is $369 million more than in the previous broadcast deal.
