going to surprise daughter with birthday tickets to Skins reg season game. want to purchase now while prices are lower. what section(s) is recommended low enough to "feel" the game but see the whole field? thinking 100-200 level.

appreciate any recs before this gets bumped to wherever it really belongs!!

Florida State

Make sure it's the San Diego game when everybody is going to be there. Oh and what is a rec?

Section 102 around 25 rows back is ideal.

Oh and what is a rec?
Recommendation I would assume. Sideline, 15-20 rows up in the 100s until the first row of the uppers is the area I target. I actually enjoy the uppers between the 35s.

spousal unit is from KC so I can get credit with two people for one game :)

hmmm.....wouldn't know where to begin for San Diego tickets. but come in a day early, play Torrey Pines. could be most excellent!

break break

thnx all. I was reluctant to buy last night. was looking at following: 222, 102, 103, 123, 124, 142, 134, I have a better idea now.

In the 100's, on the sideline, you're probably going to stand majority of the game. Whether or not this matters is a personal opinion. It's because of the row of dream seats in front - they have to stand to see, so the 100's have to stand to see over them. It's only bad for shorter people. My wife is 5'6 and she was able to see, though any shorter and she'd have an issue. My personal preference is to be as far back in the section as possible so you are elevated to see the whole field. These seats rock for getting out of the stadium without sitting in any traffic.

If you get in the 200's you can sit and you have a better angle for the whole field. On the visitor side the 200's have some 'obstructed view' seats - some are so bad I don't even know why they exist... If you get in the first 12 or so rows you should be fine, in fact if you're in rows 9-12 i think you're under cover. If you go any further up you start having the overhang block punts, and if you really far up you'll be watching the game on a small TV mounted above you. In my opinion the 200's are the best seat in the house, the problem is you have to know what row in what section to know you're not getting screwed. It's also a little further away from the field from the 100's.

The 400's are great if you get really low in the section along the 40/50 yard line. It was a really tough decision between moving to those seats or going to the lower level, they are truly great seats. You obviously aren't as close to the game as you are in the 100's, but they are still great seats especially if you enjoy watching plays develop and really seeing the whole picture.

When you get a parking pass green is the general admission parking pass, but there are two green passes. One is a B3 pass, which is a small lot on the south side of the stadium - you can only park in that specific green lot. If you get a general pass you can park in any of the green lots. If you have an interest in tailgating with other people make sure you get a general green lot pass.

Oh and if you're picking a monday night game make sure you can basically take off from noon on monday. traffic around 495 is awful for those games.

Another reason Dead Money is on the...err...money with his rec - first row of the uppers, or even first row of club level from 40 to 40 - best seats IMO. From the uppers you can really see the entire play develop, which is what I like. If you're going for the "experience" then lower bowl is probably better. I agree with everyone saying no lower than row 25 - my buddy has tickets around row 11 in the corner, and its hard to see anything develop.

thanks T. I have been to some games at FEDEX back in the Spurrier days - it was easy to get cheap tickets after a while!!! high up in the 400s. Just thought it would be nicer to get closer to the action but still be able to see all the field. no idea using stub hub, etc., what are good seats, though everything I have read state club level seats are the cats meow. (for an extra hundred bucks a seat!)

btw for purchasing purposes...

NFL Ticket Exchange doesn't allow posters to put the tickets on there for less than face value - so don't bother deal hunting there.

Stub hub charges a lot of fees and if you buy the tickets further than 30 days out you lose all the protections you supposedly paid for. So if you go them, don't buy the tickets more than 30 days out. If they're fake you're screwed.

Craigslist is the best place for deals but they don't last long (when the tickets are in demand.) If you are not sure if they're fake or not ask to see the season ticket holder's ID card, he/she should have 1 per ticket. The account number on the tickets should match the ID card. They also allow us to print our tickets out on plain paper, so don't be alarmed if that's what you get. What's important is that there is a barcode for them to scan at the gate.

I'm going to the Charger game so I don't have tickets for that one but for the KC game I have 4 and yea sec 219 row 16 first 4 on the aisle. Face value is only $84 so they're pretty good IMO. The only thing yopu don't see is the apex of punts, all else is visible and in crappy weather these are some of the best seats in the house from my experience.
