Yep, starting another thread. Just call me an attention whore.
So my family is moving in less than two weeks, out to Waynesboro, in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley. The move puts me closer to school and work, and my wife has been miserable in her job this year so we decided now is as good a time as ever.
Anyway, I hate moving. Haven't done it in ten years, mainly because I hate it with a passion. I hate physically moving things, I hate dealing with utilities, I hate moving.
(don't know if I mentioned it or not, but I hate moving)
So I figured I would create a thread where you can all empathize with me, tell me it will be OK, and most importantly, share any moving tips you have. What have you found to make the experience more bearable? Conversely, are there things you would never do again?
We are hiring movers if that helps. I am concerned about our very nice bed and dining room table. Aside from that, our furniture is pretty standard and replacable.
