My dad recommended this series - produced by Netflix and only available on Netflix. Steven Van Zandt (yeah, THAT Steven Van Zandt) plays a mob guy who gets passed over when the boss dies. Decides to get out of the mob and testifies against the new boss, then opts for witness protection and (because he watched the olympics there years before) elects to go to Lillehammer, Norway.

This is a very cool series. Funny, dark, quirky, with mostly norwegian actors and some great characters.

Whole first season is available on Netflix for instant viewing. Highly recommend it.
 
I need to catch up on Mad Men first (actually Dexter first, then Mad Men), then I will check this out.
