I've never been at a point where I could start Christmas shopping for the kids this early before. I know a lot of people shop way early to avoid the hassle, but I want the most bang for my buck.
I know a ton of items go on sale for the Christmas season, but I was wondering if anyone has ever noticed if the prices now are the better price? I've always had a theory that for the Christmas sales, they probably just jack up the prices, then put them on sale for what they already were priced at. Because of family members and close friends that have worked at Walmart over the years, I do know for a fact this is the Walmart method, and that their rollbacks aren't rollbacks at all, they are just told to put the sign up with the current price, and make up a price within reason for the before price. My question is, does everyone do this, or would it be wise for me to wait and shop closer to Christmas?
And I will never do Black Friday for any reason, so that's out of the question. I'd rather not get trampled after waiting in line for a day to fight over the same item as 50 other people.
