Introducing: BGO Black

On the eve of the 2013 Preseason ... allow us to introduce BGO Black.

At bottom right of any page, you will find the style option drop-down box. It currently reads "BGO Fluid", which as you probably know is the default style for the recently launched new BGO. If you look a little deeper, however, you will find a second option in the drop down menu.

While BGO Fluid will remain the permanent default setting, BGO Black is also now available for those occasions on which one simply cannot resist the lure of the dark side.

When the new Premium Membership structure becomes effective soon, BGO Black is scheduled to become one of the perks. Until that time, however, it is available to one and all.

Please note that the new style remains a work in progress--there are details you will run across (background colors/fonts, images needing refinement, etc.) we will be attending to as we go. Please feel free to call our attention to any such issues you run across in the existing Glitch, Bug and Feedback thread, so we can be sure to catch everything.

Oh ... and be advised. Gratuitous use of the phrase beginning "Once you go black..." may result in the perpetrator's default style permanently set to blue and silver.

Just sayin'.

We're restructuring the whole Premium Membership thing, Chris. Much more on that in the next few days.

As to my comment in this thread, the initial thought was to maybe make BGO Black a "Premium" carrot only those members would be able to access. Having slept on the idea, however ... eff that. Everyone will have access.

Me, I can't stop going back and forth. I'm all about the white background, and it's still the bedrock, but it's pretty cool to pop over to the dark side every once in a while too.
