Well, that answers the question about whether memorabilia with the old name, has a lot more market value
But it definitely has a lot of nostalgic value, or else you wouldn't be digging for them :)

Man another good find. This belt buckle. Got it for $50. Was.made in 1978. The year i was born.

I found a lady here in Sacramento, Ca. That grew up in DC and her whole family are Redakins fans. She has tubs of very old Redskins stuff that she's gonna sell me. Man I can't wait for this treasure chest of gold.

As you alluded to earlier, being in Cali must bring an even greater challenge for these finds.
Especially for Classic Redskin stuff, as opposed to recent Commander stuff.
You have a knack for finding the right people, and near you.
