Bad news/good news...

The bad news is, my NFL Pickem picks are taking a beating today. The good news is that I picked the Texans to win.

I'm not much of a trash talker...so I don't post on other boards but I find the fans of our opponents to offer a different perspective. Here's one Re: Game Day Texans at Redskins

Well, the tale of the tape is in and it's pretender not contender.

ST - Slaton makes a huge mental error. Neal Rackers-Brown misses an easily makable FG by a wide margin setting up Mcnabb in great field position.

Offense - Running game looks pretty good today and was awesome last week - so let's come out slinging the ball around. Makes sense. NOT. Game plan stinks, protection stinks. Schaub looks hesitant, and already has one pick today. 3 sacks in the first half? Hell, this isn't 2002 and I landed into a time warp is it?

Defense - NO freaking pressure. Mcnabb is a good QB, but he has marginal talent around him. NO WAY in hell he should be slinging the ball to wide open guys all over the damn field. Run D is good, but it doesn't matter when the QB can take a nap and sling it to completely wide open guys. The D ought to be totally ashamed of itself and better come out in half 2 and do some damage.

I copied and pasted from the spy website. Not my observations...just interesting to see it from the texan fans point of view. Heres another one same site provided by this site

I will say that if someone told me the redskins would put up 27 points on the board against the Texans by the 3rd, I'd say they were full of it . the Redskins offense isn't that good

Houston deserved that victory! They fought back to beat us. The false start by Brown was the killer, but Houston did what they had to to win!

Also, I have been outspoken about my distaste for the unsportsman like decision to call a Time Out to ice the kicker. It is bull**** in my book. The NFL needs to outlaw it!

Hey, a Giants loss tonight and we are still in 1st place in the division.

Yeah, icing the kicker is crap, I hate that. I hate the fact that Gano missed the second one, which will just serve to solidify the coaches doing this.
 
The timeout upon a snap should not be allowed. A fluke injury can happen or the wrong team ends up winning. Houston deserved it though. Our D was absolutely pitiful - the worst I have seen since Esaison got 522 yds. against the 'Skins many years ago.
 
Reed Doughty, hang your head in shame, I swear every big play Houston got you were late and out of position. Pure abuse, he's just not starting quality.

Just saw on PFT they are calling it a knee sprain. Not serious, as he was apparently standing on his own at the end of the game.

But then again, it's PFT...

I'll see if I can find a link.
