  • The 2020 Season will be the last for our little community. Following the final WFT game of the 2020 season, the site will close it's doors. We wanted to give you a little advance notice so that you could retrieve any photos, content, or other material from the site before it became unavailable, so that you could exchange contact info with anyone you may desire, and ensure that folks would forgo any site donations going forward. We have had a blast being your favorite Redskins and WFT watering hole for the past decade. We had a great run and each of you were a part of it. Thanks to all of you for your amazing contributions and camaraderie. You made this a special place.

Hail Game Day!

December 28th, 2008 was a long time ago (228 days ago to be exact, but who is counting right?) and while the off season has been exciting, it is once again that time.

Game Day.

A scared occurrence, happening no more than a maximum of 25 times a year, assuming your team plays the HoF game to start the preseason and then closes out their season in the Super Bowl (having gotten there by way of a Wild Card game). Most fans will have to live with just 20 such high holidays a year.

Revel in today for the days like it are few, my friends, and they are dear.

We at BGO would like to take a moment and mention options for sharing that revelry with your obsessed brethren of the B&G right here at our humble home.

  • An official Game Day thread will be started by a BGO Staff Member in the Sons of Washington forum prior to kickoff.
  • BGO Chat is up and running if you prefer something more real time. Please feel free to use it early and often. Links to that can be found in navigation bar at the top of all BGO pages.
  • The BGO Sportsradio BOT is available on the main portal page for those geographically challenged souls who wish to find and listen to the game on an internet radio station.

Please remember What We're About here at BGO, regardless of which of these options you choose to avail yourselves of, and please temper all responses accordingly.

So where ever you are, sit back, crack a cold one and enjoy the first of the few holy gridiron days of this season. We certainly will be.

Hail!

Yeah, I know I posted it last year but all the data is still applicable and so is the sentiment so being a lazy writer (if you follow my blog you know how true that really is!) and doubting I could say it any better this year than I did last year, I just bumped last years thread.

Here is hoping I need to redo it next year because the Burgundy and Gold Men of Shanahan leave off somewhat deeper in the season than the last couple of years, making the math in this piece completely out of date and the rest in need of a rewrite.

For those who are geographically challenged, please note that tonight's game will carried live by the NFL Network.

Hail!
