Gaither is having problems in Baltimore. What about a Haynesworth for Gaither trade. This would solidify our o line. Also, I am wondering if there are going to be many UFA's next year? This year it seems like potential UFA's were restricted. Does that mean there is gong to be many out there next year?

Who is a FA next year will depend on if there is a new CBA. My guess is if we have a lockout there will be no FA's next season.

Right now everything depends on new CBA. From a player's perspective, do you sign just a 1 year deal to see what happens? If a team signs someone to long term deal then have a lockout, they don't pay the player until everything settled.

The NFL and players would lose much of the popularity if they have a lockout or strike. Interestingly read recently where majority of fans would side with owners/NFL. Fans feel for what they are being paid there shouldn't be any gripes.

We will have to wait and watch to see which side blinks first.

Actually, I am pretty sure that Free Agency will happen even without a CBA. Any player with 6 or more years in the league who does not have a contract will be a FA next year.

Of course, it remains to be seen if teams will jump on signing them with a lockout in the cards. They may not be willing to write checks for large signing bonuses only to turn around and lock the players out thereby paying guys to sit.

I think one of Haynesworth's major hang-ups is playing in a 3-4 defense, which is what Baltimore runs.

Couple that with the fact that the Ravens just drafted Cody and I don't think they'll be willing to part with Gaithers for a guy like AH.
