What they didn't mention is after abducting her the aliens decided to drop their whole "anal probing program".

Apparently, they had gotten to the bottom of it and whatever they found wasn't pretty. Turns out, they were approaching the issue from the wrong end; they had it all backwards. It wasn't until Fran was abducted that they realized the benefits of approaching the issue from the other end.

So, we can put that who mess in our rear view mirror; it is behind us.
