Heh. Billick's power rankings have us at 8 and the Seahawks at 9. I think that might be a first. :)

His Seahawks write-up:

"Pete Carroll gets my vote for Coach of the Year for what he has done with the Seahawks this season, but I think they go one and done in the playoffs. Washington is a tough place to play, especially for a team that has had their struggles on the road this season."

There was a Seattle radio guy on WTOP about an hour ago that said the Seahawks' road woes are over because they beat Chicago and Buffalo on the road in the second half of the season

Anytime beating Buffalo is a sign of progress, you know you are starting from rock bottom.

A Chicago team in the middle of a downward spiral and a Buffalo team that couldn't stop a charging kitten.

Like I said, the only two quality wins they had all year were the Patriots win and one win against San Francisco. The Green Bay game was gift-wrapped for them and needs an asterisk.

Ummm, assfacesaywhat now? The Buffalo game was in Toronto, doesn't count as being on the road. Besides, it's Buffalo. I mean, Buffalo?

The SF game was a nice win, no doubt. But Buffalo, really?

SF lost twice to the Rams.

Their poor division record is what cost them a higher seed in the playoffs.

Besides I have my doubts that Kaepernick is the real deal long-term.

I sure hope he's right about one and done that but Pete Carroll over Chuck Pagano/Bruce Arians? The Dynamic Duo would get my vote.

Where would the Seahags be if they lost to Green Bay, as they should have?

Good question. They still might have made the playoffs (not sure what their 10-6 tiebreaker would have been with a conference loss) but we also might have been stuck with those horrible replacement refs for a week or two longer. I think the Fail Mary helped bring about the end of the ref lockout.

They get really defensive when you bring up the Fail Mary play. It's great fun on twitter when they get too full of themselves.
