UVa Hires Bill Lazor as OC

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (AP) -- Seattle Seahawks quarterbacks coach Bill Lazor has been hired as Virginia's offensive coordinator.

New Cavaliers coach Mike London announced Lazor's hiring Thursday.

Lazor has been the quarterbacks coach at Seattle for the last two seasons. Before that, he spent four years with the Washington Redskins -- two as quarterbacks coach, two as an offensive assistant. He began his NFL career in 2003 as offensive quality control coach for Atlanta.

Lazor previously served nine years as a college assistant -- seven at his alma mater, Cornell, and two as offensive coordinator at Buffalo. As a player, he set 26 school records for passing and total offense.
Good to see one of Gibbs young assistants doing well. Maybe he can come up with a way to beat that Tech defense... :D

Hope he can jump start UVA's offense. It would be good for both schools to see close hard fought games. In everything I read about potential OC's his name never was mentioned.

Yeah, I saw that too Bob. He always seemed like a smart guy and a class act. UVa is likely fortunate to land him....
