I like this hire, going to be a little odd for Moss and El (If he's still here) as htey were recently teammates but still...

The Washington Redskins will hire former Pro Bowl wide receiver Keenan McCardell as its wide receivers coach, according to a league source.

McCardell was drafted out of UNLV in the 12th round of the 1991 draft by the Redskins. In a 17-year career with the Redskins, Cleveland Browns, Jacksonville Jaguars, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, San Diego Chargers and Houston Texans, McCardell had 883 receptions for 11,373 yards and 63 touchdowns. He went to the Pro Bowl twice (1996, 2003) and won Super Bowls with the Redskins and Bucs.

McCardell was a coaching intern last summer with the New York Giants, his first coaching experience.

Wow, interesting....intern to coach in one year. Talk about the fast track. Hope he's ready.
