Eagles Finally Admit Mistake, Fire Castillo

Not all divisions are created equal

Beat me to it lanky.

This is just the start of the eagles unraveling. Reid trying best he can to keep his job.

It's going to be a sad day when the eagles fire Reid and bring in a real coach. That team has talent, and under the right coaching staff could be a very good team.

Why do you have to depress me with such thoughts, T? It will be worse than the day UVA fired Al Groh. Sigh. I don't even want to think about it.

Best line I've seen so far comes from PFT.

" Firing Juan Castillo for being a bad defensive coordinator is like firing a race car driver for being a bad airplane pilot."

The phrase "being set up for failure" comes to mind.

The wheels seem to be coming off indeed.

The sad part is that the defense has been playing better than the offense. That is where the problem is.

Cowboys have had talent for years, and multiple coaches, but never amounted to anything. Andy's firing by itself, won't be sad for Skins fans. Because, as you said, it's going to take "the right coaching staff" to replace him. And that's a lot easier said than done. Otherwise, we would have done it already, during one of our many coaching carousel changes, that we've had, during Reid's tenure alone.

But Andy Reid is locked into the HC position for the forseeable future; the Iggles for some reason just will not fire him. Too much respect? Who knows...every Eagle fan I know is begging for him to be canned, but it never happens!

But the Cowboys didn't handle their coaching situation any better. They had Wade Phillips who was clearly not a good head coach. They Finally get sick of terrible results so they fire Phillips and hire... wait for it... wait for it... the guy under Phillips that was running the offense. And they wonder why they have similar results...

As soon as the Cowboys and Eagles figure out their coaches suck and get ones that don't, we're going to be in for some rough competition. The one advantage we have over them is that we finally have a real coach; the one advantage they have over us they have real talent and don't have to completely blow up the team like we did.

We'll see where everyone is in 3 years :)
