Good job KD. Soliai would definitely be a solid pick up in the offseason. He is no Ngata, but seems to be solid in the middle of the field and with the return of Jenkins next year he could definitely help!

As for this game. Who knows what to think anymore? This would be a great chance for Beck to prove that he will somehow get better than his first 8 games as a pro. I just don't see it. I have a feeling we see the return of Rex Grossman before this one is over.

Soliai would be a great pick up, and would allow Cofield to move to DE and do some real damage. A DE rotation of Carriker, Cofield, Bowen, Jenkins & Golston would give opposing teams fits, IMO.

KDawg, outstanding analysis and breakdown, a truly superior effort! :claps:

There are weaknesses in Miami we can exploit, but as you said, they've "upped their game" in recent weeks and having given the Giants an unexpectedly tough game followed by the win over a Chiefs team with a four-game win streak team confidence is almost certainly at a season high. We'll have to up our game as well to pull out a win.

Not impossible, but as you hinted at, problematical.

With Beck being a former Miami player he should be motivated to do well against his old team. I'm sure he'd love to get his first career win against his old team. Let's hope that motivation is enough to make him play well enough to finally get the Redskins offense in gear.

well written. will the Fins be amped coming off a big win or will the emotion of winning their first game have drained them? has anyone done the research on teams breaking a long losing streak and how they play the game following? that might be interesting.

Nice job KDawg. While I always thought this was a game we'd likely win, with Beck at the helm I'd be surprised if we did. He would definitely have to up his game and take a play from the Sexy Rexy handbook and "GO DEEP".

Well done brother. Informative, concise and thorough. If I may add one more thing to your critique of John Beck, it's that he doesn't really throw a catchable ball. Even when he did lead his receivers on crossing routes and such they couldn't do much for YAC because of the wobbly spiral. It forced a couple of guys to slow down to corral the thing. I watched that game then watched the Pats - Giants, and started hating on NE fans big time. Brady throws such a sweet ball, it's sick.

I'm depressed again. I need to go lay down for a minute - :help:

Good job Kdawg, as usual. I think the Long-Orakpo battle will be a good one. Lots of one on ones gives Rak the opportunity to make some big plays. Let's hope he does.

Historically, has Reggie Bush, as a RB, ever had a good game against us?

We need a defensive score, and a special teams score, early, to take some pressure off the offense while they're trying to learn how to crawl.

Can't worry about getting Soliai yet - just need to take it one game at a time. K, when you wrote this piece, Grossman was not the starter. Things change quickly and it could be Crompton next week! :):anonymous:

Great write up. Thanks for the insight to the Dolphins.

You know what's frustrating reading through this? I pretty much summed up how the game was going to go down. Of course, I predicted a Redskin victory, I always do in the end... But it's not like I didn't see the end result coming.

Extremely frustrating how I could figure out how the Phins were going to attack (even pointing out Fassano being a bigger factor)... Our coaches must have figured it out if even I did... and our players had to know.

We have a total lack of talent right now and its evident. And the biggest holes are on the offensive line and at quarterback. THOSE are the two positions that need to be addressed this offseason. And they need to be addressed with a major investment.
