The call him Mike. Big Mike. The Tank. The Caveman. At 6’3”, 275 lbs, Mike Sellers may no longer be the biggest player charging fiercely down an...

Thanks - I appreciate it! I love writing the player-focused ones, because I invariably learn something I didn't know. Sellers is having a great year - here's to hoping he keeps it up

you comfortable with him catching it out of the backfield yet?

im not fully but it seems like every time he does we get a big gain..
I'm never fully comfortable with him. But the fact that coaches like the Shanahans trust him gets my attention. And so far, in 2010, he's been a strength, not a liability.

I have to give him credit for the becoming a solid contributor...

The fullback has long been a key player in the Shanahan offense, especially when using misdirection or as an outlet for a nice gain when the other team blitzes. As long as Mike stays healthy and doesn't get a case of the Carlos-itis, I think he'll continue to be a major contributor.
