Pretty cool. Not that I'm much into country music, but Mrs Sarge is and I hear this play once in awhile

The fact that color was being used at that point in history is less impressive to me as the quality of the images in such low lighting conditions. These guys were using lighting that was a small explosion, a flash in the truest sense of the word. Can you imagine how difficult it must have been to regulate that flash to get such incredible images? On top of that adjust the aperture? It is difficult enough to do these things with today's digital technology.

I am a photographer, but I have to give these photographer a world of credit. They did things I could not imagine doing at this stage in my experience.

Just get a good paint program and convert them to grayscale - it can be done in an instant.
