Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know it's preseason... but the Redskins' preseason opponents sure looked like a playoff march.

Steelers, Ravens, Colts, Bucs... these are all very serious teams. Contenders. I think it's fair to include the Bucs. And the Redskins first teamers won every match up. They embarrassed the hell out of the Steelers who were so put out that they took it out on the Eagles the next week. The Colts... well, okay, the Colts are a different team without Manning and in the preseason, but they still have some very fine players. The Ravens? Look at Ray Lewis if you didn't think that game mattered A LOT to the Ravens. And the finale? That is the team the Redskins want to become... a young, energetic team full of potential.

Does the preseason matter. No, but execution does and winning one on one match ups do... and the Redskins were consistently matched up against the NFL's best this preseason so that let that fill you up for a moment. It may not mean anything in two weeks. It probably doesn't have a value as a predictor of our season, but shush, it's okay to feel good about your team and the way it's coming together.

Hail to the Redskins. For once, the off season champs in a good way!
