Brad Johnson came from Minnesota and led the Redskins to a 10-6 record and the playoffs in his first season, 1999. He went 7-4 in 11 starts the following year, but ended up in Tampa Bay by 2001, leading the Buccaneers to the Super Bowl title in 2002.
Question for the gallery:
Looking back on those photos, which one did you forget ever started for the Skins? i.e., which QB were you most surprised to see?
For me, it was Tim Hasselbeck. I always kinda liked him.
We had a contract ready for Green, and those idiot trustees running the team in the interim refused to let it go through and we lost Green. Green wanted to sign but it was blocked.I was always a little surprised we let Rich Gannon go. Hated losing Trent Green but that was during Danny's acquisition of the team and I guess he wanted a "sure thing" with the Rams.

Yeah, the trustees didn't want a big contract (don't remember how big it was) to go through during the interim, and refused to allow Casserly to do it. Casserly then went and traded 3 draft pics to bring in Brad Johnson.WOW, totally didn't know that. Interesting......AND disturbing.
