Watching a game like that is never easy.
Last night I finally convinced my 8-year-old daughter to watch a Redskin game with me. She asked me to explain the rules as the game went on so she'd know what to look for.
"See that blue line? That's where the offense starts with the ball. The yellow line is where they need to get to. They have four chances or 'downs.'
This will be the Eagles first chance."
Touchdown.
"Are we losing already?"
"Yes. But now we get four chances to get ten yards."
...
"Ok. We didn't get it so we have to punt."
[15 minutes later]
"Daddy. Can you root for another team if you want?"
"No. Go to bed."
Nope. Never gets any easier.

Wow, what a first game for an 8-year-old. Looks like you'll be facing an uphill battle in getting her to root for the Skins.
I sent my sons to bed early last night and, after telling my 13-year old the final score a few minutes ago, he thanked me for sending him to bed early. To top it off, he said "Looks like I won't be wearing my Redskins jersey to school anytime soon". OUCH! Then again, neither would I.
