ANNOUNCEMENT OF INACTIVES



LANDOVER, Md. – The Washington Redskins have announced the following inactives and lineup changes for today’s game against the Philadelphia Eagles:



The Redskins declared the following players as inactive:

o No. 10 QB Robert Griffin III

o No. 11 WR DeSean Jackson

o No. 12 WR Andre Roberts

o No. 23 CB DeAngelo Hall

o No. 56 LB Perry Riley, Jr.

o No. 64 DE Kedric Golston

o No. 68 T Tom Compton



No. 14 Ryan Grant is expected to start in place of Jackson at wide receiver.

No. 26 Bashaud Breeland is expected to start in place of Hall at cornerback.

No. 51 Will Compton is expected to start in place of Riley at linebacker.



On Saturday, the Redskins signed No. 22 cornerback Deshazor Everett (6-0, 193) to their active roster from the team’s practice squad. The team released No. 73 defensive end Frank Kearse.



The Eagles declared the following players as inactive:

o No. 9 QB Thad Lewis

o No. 42 S Chris Maragos

o No. 50 LB Kiko Alonso

o No. 61 C/G Julian Vandervelde

o No. 72 DE Cedric Thornton

o No. 90 LB Marcus Smith

o No. 97 DE Taylor Hart



No. 93 Brandon Bair is expected to start in place of Thornton at defensive end.
 
I haven't heard of any injury issues with him. Other than that he hurts our team as often as he helps it :)
 
Just saw Roberts was inactive...time to transition to youth?
 
So do we think Roberts is on his way out? Sooner rather than later?

I don't think we missed him at ALL yesterday.
 
Is Riley injured? I don't remember seeing anything about an injury for him but I certainly could have missed it.

Gotta keep him for the season.

Insurance in case of injury. Avoid a cap hit by cutting him.
 
I think they are kinda stuck with Roberts. His base salary (almost $3M) is fully guaranteed. Even if they found a trading partner they'd probably have to eat his salary to send him packing. Might be worth it if they could get a healthy TE. Reed probably out for next week - possibly longer.
