Per CSN, both players will be released today.

Saves $6M under the cap.

Redskins are now in solid position to add a veteran or two over the summer if the opportunity arises.

McCloughan acts quickly. I didn't expect these moves for some time.

Hopefully this means Long made a strong impression at OTAs.

Hey, cut the guy a little slack BT. Maybe he pulled a hammy walking toward the gate. :)

Bulldog Twin was the first person I thought would be happy, when I saw the news about this today.
That's gotta say something about Chester that he was cut before a rookie and 2nd year player even took the field for Training Camp, to replace him.

Ryman might be happier than BT. Might be.

Why waste the camp reps? Don't let the door hitya where the good Lord splitya!

Keim didn't write the predictable slam piece on Jackson ... predictable Jason Reid did.

Predictably.

Edit: sorry Tom--didn't refresh the page before posting.

New prediction: ESPN won't keep Reid on the Redskins beat---not even the 4-letter network can allow someone quite so predictable and one-dimensional to write under their banner for long.

He's obviously got an axe to grind toward the team and that colors his judgment.

Whether he is justified based on past history with Snyder, Allen, Cerrato, etc I don't know but he's holding onto it all too long and it doesn't make for entertaining radio.

He doesn't have much of a sense of humor to boot so all you get is a steady drizzle of negative comments.

Jason is actually Harry Reid's bastard son, explains a lot anyways. Like Ramsey & John, he went from Jason Snow to Reid recently.

**** him & the rest of the haters

They hired Olbermann back. any turd can float in the ESPN toilet bowl.

Chester reunites with Kyle in Atlanta.
But can Chester hold a block long enough for Hankerson to get open ? Probably not

Dam, you're giving a lot of credit..... Kankerson actually making a game day active list....

hank was a pretty big disappointment thats for sure but lets be honest when was the last time we drafted a decent receiver? I honestly cant recall
You may wish you hadn't asked.

Answer? Depends on how "decent" we're talking. If the standard is "no caveats" ... Gary Clark. 2nd round of supplemental draft, 1984.
