REDSKINS MAKE ROSTER MOVES

LOUDOUN COUNTY, Va. – The Washington Redskins announced today that they have made the following roster moves:

The Redskins signed the following college free agents:
T Tovar Allen
LB Houston Bates
QB Hutson Mason
LB Dasman McCullum
DL Daryl Waud

The Redskins signed the following free agent:
LB Alonzo Highsmith

The Redskins waived the following players:
T Brey Cook
LB James Gayle (designated injured)
QB Connor Halliday (designated left squad)
DL LaKendrick Ross
WR Tyler Rutenbeck

Daryl Waud: there's your random Canadian player that nobody knew existed. Hopefully he's an unknown beast!

I'm not sure he's a 'Jr.' - any way, it's a team release...

I hate you just spent 3 minutes of your precious life posting that :)

Lol...remember all the hype with him? That was some tough years alright

Edit: Disregard, just saw you were talking to McD. Carry on nothing to see here

Alonzo Highsmith used to work with Scot McCloughan in the Packers front office.

His son's appearance in Washington is likely a favor for a friend.

I found a highlight vid for Daryl Waud. It's from 2013 when he was at Western University, but it's something...

Great find. Seems like he's got good sideline to sideline movement.

Waud is literally the exact same size as Brandon Scherff - 6'5 and 270.
And moves like him. He's like the defensive version of Scherff, eh !

Also, he was drafted by the CFL's Toronto Argonauts on May 12th.
Glad he chose to sign with the Skins.
He must have been given a good indication by our staff that he could make the team, in order to turn down Toronto

Good instincts and effort guy. NFL size. Gets a bit upright on contact so will have to get stronger and work on technique, but has a chance to develop into a rotation DT.

Let's hope he hasn't already shot his Waud.
