The Redskins will host 65 roster hopefuls – draft picks, college free agents and players invited on a tryout basis – this weekend for their rookie minicamp.

And Connor Halliday's a no-show. According to John Keim, he's no longer on the roster. Quitting football? Sheesh.

On the bright side, Brandon Scherff and Preston Smith seem to be going at it hard and heavy on the first day. Should be a fun battle to watch going forward. They should help make each other better.
