REDSKINS ANNOUNCE 2015 PRESEASON SCHEDULE
LOUDOUN COUNTY, Va. – The National Football League announced its 2015 preseason schedule today, and the Washington Redskins’ four-game slate features their preseason debut on the road against the Cleveland Browns, their preseason home opener against the Detroit Lions, a road game against the Baltimore Ravens and a home finale against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Specific times for all games will be determined at a later date. All four games will be shown locally on NBC4 and Comcast SportsNet and can be heard on the Redskins Radio Network.
Washington will open the preseason in Cleveland a year after the Redskins defeated the Browns, 24-23, at FedExField in Week 2 of the 2014 preseason. The Redskins have won their last four preseason meetings with the Browns and have earned victories in six of their last seven preseason games against the Browns dating back to 1980.
The Redskins will make their FedExField preseason debut the following week against the Detroit Lions, marking the first preseason meeting between the two teams since 1996. A win would give the Redskins victories in eight consecutive preseason home openers since 2008.
The following week, the Redskins will travel north to face the Baltimore Ravens for the third preseason game for a second consecutive year. The game will mark the eighth time in the last 11 years that the cross-conference foes have faced one another in preseason play.
The Redskins will conclude their preseason against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Thursday, Sept. 3. The Redskins have won each of their last four preseason finales, all of which came against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
