This article is mainly about deflategate, but check out the rate of fumbles per play at home. Definitely not something we want to be first in. Not sure about the cause, but I have felt for a while we seem to fumble more than most. Of course, don't know the away stats. Or even why, for this article, only home games were reviewed.

Don't really care who it is or where they are playing, losing 13 fumbles are too many. Interceptions were a killer at 18 especially when D manages 7. Total damage: Skins finished at -12 on turnovers. Room for improvement.

One of the things that drove me mad last year was when the secondary would go for a strip fumble, allowing the WR a chance to roll off more yardage, sometimes go for a TD. Who was teaching these guys this? Just tackle the player! Turnovers are important, but so is not letting the player gain 10, 15 more yards or even break free for a TD. D-Hall is one of the biggest culprits of this.

Agreed, First guy go for the tackle. Second man in go for the strip.

This, of course, assumes we can tackle. :joker:

no idea...but...without reading the article...an initial guess would be that there is a positive and not insignificant correlation between our pass pro/QB decision-making and a higher than average fumble rate

It's not surprising, the Redskins have one of the worst records at home since 2012.

The team can get up to play Dallas on the road but sleep walk through home games against teams like Tampa Bay.
