PFT: Report: Scot McCloughan expected to be the new G.M. in Washington

Just a little random aside, I was talking with my best friend last night and she brought up how jealous she was of the Redskins hiring McCloughan. She used to work in the Niners FO and worked with Scot during his tenure with the team. Her words, "dude, you guys just hired the 'Football Whisperer' and you're gonna win the Super Bowl within a decade." Obviously we both laughed about such a definitive statement about the Redskins, but she said that in all seriousness he's a really good dude and knows his crap (which I think we have all figured out even with just minimal research on his drafting track record). In her opinion though, this is the best move she's seen Snyder make and if he truly stays hands off with Scot we're going to be set up to be serious contenders after a few years worth of drafts. I know most of us are excited about this GM hire, but it was reassuring to hear such a positive review from my girlfriend, a girlfriend who I can't remember EVER saying anything remotely positive about the Snyder regime.

Anyway, carry on, just thought I'd interject with that little tidbit. And here I thought I couldn't get any more excited about McCloughan!

I got that same kind of text message from my friend who is a seahawks fan. She said "in 2 years you are going to be serious contenders. This guy is the shit"

Makes me excited...if he can do that he is a football god
