Week Ten Grades, Questions

Welcome to week ten questions and grades as the Redskins put forth a depressing effort against the lowly Buccaneers. The pathetic loss was one that caused strain for the team and fans alike. Feel free to offer your own grades, opinions, suggestions, and ideas. Also, we have some questions to close out this tenth week of action.

Let’s take a look at the grades.

Quarterback:
Nothing worked. Some people blame the quarterback. Some people blame the offensive line. Some people blame the coaches. Some people blame the general manager. Some people blame the scouting department. Some people blame the owner.
Grade: F

Running Backs:
The lone bright spot of the team last Sunday as Alfred Morris arguably had his best game of the season. Roy Helu continues to shine as a third down back. BBQ continues to push the idea of Silas Redd getting four or five plays a game.
Grade: B+

Wide Receivers:
The receivers never had a chance to show anything.
Grade: Incomplete

Tight Ends:
For the second week in a row, this position was neglected for some odd reason.
Grade: Incomplete

Offensive Line:
Nothing worked. Some people blame the quarterback. Some people blame the offensive line. Some people blame the coaches. Some people blame the general manager. Some people blame the scouting department. Some people blame the owner.
Grade: F

Defensive Line:
Nothing worked. Some people blame the defensive line. Some people blame the scheme. Some people blame the 3-4 system. Some people blame the coaches. Some people blame the general manager. Some people blame the scouting department. Some people blame the owner.
Grade: F

Linebackers:
Trent Murphy continues to improve each week and has made Brian Orakpo an afterthought. Ryan Kerrigan took two steps back and had a subpar game. Perry Riley was atrocious. Keenan Robinson had another fine game.
Grade: C-

Cornerbacks:
The corners did not have a good game, but they had no support from the line, linebackers, and safeties.
Grade: Incomplete

Safeties:
Nothing worked. Some people blame the defensive line. Some people blame the scheme. Some people blame the 3-4 system. Some people blame the coaches. Some people blame the general manager. Some people blame the scouting department. Some people blame the owner.
Grade: F

Special Teams:
Nothing worked. Some people blame the coaches. Some people blame the general manager. Some people blame the scouting department. Some people blame the owner.
Grade: F

Coaching:
No, we are not going to do the broken record theme this far into week ten of BBQ. We should, but you get the idea.
Grade: F

Week ten passes into the history books. How would you grade each position and the coaching staff? Wait, please – don’t. What are you looking for in the coming week against the 49ers? Oh my. Massacre? Mauling? Will you even watch? Why wasn’t Jim Haslett and Raheem Morris fired during halftime? On to week eleven! On second thought, what are your plans for Thanksgiving?

See you again next week. I’m not sure why, but hey…

Hail to the Redskins! Or feel free to throw your TV across the room.

Good point and it is a good excuse to get an even better/bigger flat screen.

Hate to be so sarcastic this week, but nothing else seemed to work. I figured, eh, why not and penned it as you see.

I saw nothing to respect other than Kerrigan, Robinson and the punter.

Receiving corps gets a neutral. they were getting open.

RBs a B- to B. They have never been a good lot for blocking.

All the rest? time to forget this game and move on.

Maybe this train wreck of a game will be a rallying point. The bottom of the barrel. No where to go but up.
