Wow. All speculation at this point, but it does make sense from a financial standpoint.

Cutler is guaranteed $38 million! That's a big hit to take. And Shanahan drafted him, so there's a lot of familiarity there.

Trestman is as good as done, especially if there is even one more "performance" like the GB game. If Chicago wants to wallow in mediocrity, power to them.
