Week 9 saw Yusuf06 and DieselPower44 leading all players with an 11-2 record, followed by micks113, Fear the Spear, Canadian Hog, Shi no Tenshi, McD5, and redskins26 all at 10-3.

On the season, China and micks113 are deadlocked in the lead at 93-40-1. Rounding out the top 10 currently are Canadian Hog, redskins26, Burgundy Burner, Yusuf06, Neophyte, Shi no Tenshi, DixieFlatline, and servumtuum.

I am firmly holding down the 25th spot, time for me to make my run! Watch out bitches ;)

That's what I get for picking the Redskins. If you pick against them you'll be right 2/3rds of the time. If you were to have that percentage across all your picks you'd be in the top 9 in this pool.

First of all, or firstly, this is blasphemous.

Moving to a more important subject matter, this is the first week that the defending champion, undisputed champion of the world, the reigning world heavyweight champion, the one, the only McD5 has appeared anywhere in the standings this season.

Time for a run?

Lol.

I can't believe I'm in the top 10 for the season. I have done terribly this year. Maybe I can still pull it off!

China gets it! You have divulged my secret. I routinely determine the top 10 teams, then the bottom 10, and just pick them to win all or lose all (for the most part). The law of averages is on your side.

And like I do every year, I manage to not get picks in one week and I'm done.

I'm like that pretty good player who just can't seem to stay on the damn field.

Whatever you say Brian.

You're not 'done'. Winning is based on total number of wins, not % or anything else. You are not even close to being out of it. So keep playing ya knucklehead!

No idea what you're talking about.

I'll keep playing, but this group is too good to give up 8-10 wins against and still compete for the money. :)

I missed a week a couple years ago and finished first three weeks in a row to finish top 5

I wonder if anyone else has noticed that just consistently picking "All Favorites" would so far have given you 91 wins and a tie for third place?

Correction: tie for second place.

I tried home games with twist here or there. Terrible!

Oh yeah, I notice. The real key to winning pick em, is of course, the ability to pick the upsets. Usually about 3 upsets a week, and its nerve racking to try to find which ones those will be. You can score a 16 or a 8 just as easily if you mess up.

Picking all 'Favorites' this year would've helped you but in other seasons would have put you no better than middle of the pack.

All Favs seems to have done a bit better than that, actually.

I actually went back further than that, but various site upgrades and glitch-fixes seem to have wiped out previous final Pickem results. I did find a post I had made commenting of All Favs being something like 10th late in the 2012 season. All Favs doesn't seem to have been in the NFL Pickem mix prior to 2012.

Shhhhhhhhhhh!

Anyone going that route isn't really playing, and I'm not sure what winning using that strategy would represent, other than being a complete limp dick :)
