Rather than an individual thread for each thing Gruden does/says that prompts one of us to post, thought I'd try to set up a single, master thread. So, as we build a picture of this guy...I'll start off with a couple observations:
- like the message he is sending out. it is very obvious that from top to bottom in this franchise they are fixed on changing the culture. this will take time but is, IMO, one of the most important changes we are seeing unfold. the message was delivered loud and clear yesterday.
- in one of his interviews, Gruden had good things to say about the o-line. I know he's new and has to say all the right things...but...cmon!
- the media (e.g., PTF) is already stirring the bushes over the fact that Gruden and RGIII haven't talked. the dude is on vacation in HA! twits. way down in the weeds and meaningless. there will be plenty of time later.
- by listening to the local and national media...you'd never think that Marvin Lewis actually coached the Bengals to those playoffs!
- not enough time yet to start guessing how Gruden will reorient FA/draft priorities. one has to assume that has been discussed already
