Kansas City Chiefs fans are like every other NFL team fan-when their team starts playing badly-especially afer playing well-they talk about their team and what's wrong and don't pay a whole lot of attention to who they're playing next.

A small handful did however. And some of the results were kind of surprising.

Who would have thought, say three weeks ago, that you would see posts like this from Chiefs fans about the upcoming Redskins game?

Especially considering how badly the Redskins have been floundering around.

DMeuhlhausen

If they weren't "pissed" after lossing to Denver, SD and then not able to sustain the level this game..I don't see them being able to do it against a team like Washington for a full game.

After they got up 21-7 you could see they were over confifent. Then when Manning turned it up they had no clue how to respond.

I'm with you though Don. I hate feeling that way, but I can see 9-7 and sitting at home in the playoffs. I'm expecting it to come down to week 17 for the final Wildcard spot. Winner gets in between SD and KC

Wow. Amazing what dropping three in a row after a 9-0 start will do.

okoye35chiefs

Redskins rank number 7 in total offense.

Chiefs rank 16th in total offense.

Skins rank 23rd in total defense

Chiefs rank 21st in total defense.

Redskins are first in the league in rushing offense @ 150 yards a game obviously many of those being on the legs of RG3.

This is going to be a real test and anyone thinking we will go in there and punch them in the mouth is mistaken.

Redskins are a 3-9 team with nothing to lose who has beaten the Chargers and a bad Bears team along with Oakland.

So what do you guys think.... will the 3 game losing streak turn to number 4 or winning number 10 that will clinch us a playoff spot?

Delsin Rowe

You'll beat the Redskins. Don't forget, Andy has played them many times, knows them well and has a good record against them.

mayanfootball

Washington is not in the same class as Denver. That's where we have 2 losses.

I'll much rather be the Chiefs on Sunday.

jlw62987

You're assuming a lot of things. First of all, Houston won't be back Sunday. Secondly, what makes you think the Chiefs will seek revenge for the last 3 games against Washington? Haven't they seeked revenge the last 3 weeks and still lost? You forget, this team was 2-14 last year and they could easily fall into a tailspin like the last two years. I'm hoping for the best but expecting the worst.

mayanfootball

we almost beat Manning and Denver Sunday.

Do you really think Washington is that good? Naaaaawwwwwwww

Kayseedog

Perhaps, but do not underestimate Washingtons resolve.

Yes, on paper KC should be able to keep up with the skins, but this is a road game.

Having said that, KC's offense has improved. They were 1 or two catches from beating Denver but message to the receivers,...Catch the GD ball!! The defense was solid but with or without Houston, they need to step up

I'm banking on a 10-6 or 11-5 season.

mayanfootball

I'll repeat the box score:

Avery/Bowe......5 catches on 13 passes.

Jenkins/Hemingway.......6 catches on 7 passes.

Guess which two I vote to start in Washington?.

KCTemper

That is pretty scary. not necessarily Hemmingway, but Jenkins. I guess though with the number of current dropped passes, how much worse could it get? Maybe if we get a win in Washington and essentially lock a playoff berth, we really start experimenting with different personnell groups to see what they can do. Get much more Gray and Davis in there as well.

crazykirk

Right, last week is over, I'm back on my meds and the Chiefs just need to take care of business. Make some adjustments on Defense, keep the Offense rolling and start the push for the playoffs.

No one is giving any of the teams that the Bronkeys are playing any chance at all however these are teams that have strong defenses and I believe will give them trouble. The Redskins had the Bronkeys down by 14 at one point so no reason to take them lightly.

One week at a time, one game at a time, one play at a time.

iowaskcchiefsfan

We will beat the "Skins". Our Front 7, especially if Houston plays, will contain RG III. Skins O-Line is really bad. If Justin doesn't play, Frank Zombo, while not the pass-rusher, is very good against the run, can contain RG (?). The "D" will be out to get even for the last 3. Alex and the Offense is starting to get hot and the Skins "D" is really bad, especially vs YAC.

It would shock the NFL world if the Redskins handed the Chiefs their fourth loss in a row-probably most Redskins fans as well right now.

Apparently some Chiefs fans wouldn't be all that surprised.

Interesting.

The Redskins can make any game a ballgame and then find a way to choke in the 4th on any 1 or all 3 phases of the game.

KC isn't that good. It would be nice to get a win and clear the air a bit.

What have we seen and heard since narrowly beating San Diego?

Minnesota? "They only have one win." Loss
Philly? "Have lost 10 straight at home." Loss
San Fran? "Kaep is struggling, can't move the offense." Loss
Giants? "Only have beaten putrid QBs." Loss

What's that Who song......"Won't Get Fooled Again?"

When you put it that way, it sounds as if Norv is still coach

Right now we may as well have Norv running the team except instead of blowing leads bi-weekly we alternate between doing nothing until down 20+ and blowing 14+ leads the following week every week.

How many years has it been now that every single win is in doubt until the clock runs out and 1/2 of those turn into losses? I'm guessing 1991.

When you consider this team is dead last in the NFL this year, in total minutes that they held a lead during a game, I have been in too much shock, when we actually had a lead, to consider it a "blown lead"
