This one is gaining traction ... the team once again managed to completely shoot themselves in the foot. If for no other reason than the timing---a bye week coming off a week of national ridicule and national TV loss exposing the on-field as well as off-field product as barely professional---the Redskins show time and again they are utterly clueless as to how their actions will play in the public arena.
They either just don't care, or someone who's supposed to be managing the message in Ashburn isn't doing their job any better than anyone else in the organization. Doesn't matter what "the policy" has been ... to force the issue NOW seems to border on lunacy.
Om, I consider your points about how clueless the team is regarding public opinion and managing the message all the more stunning when one considers that Snyder bought this team with money made in the Communications industry. Snyder Communications specialized in various types of marketing which is nothing if not all about message and awareness of public opinion.
So it would seem that not only is Snyder clueless about football, he has also lost his touch with his previous business as well, at least where fan relations are concerned.
