The gif is fine. It's the attached image below the gif I can't remove.

It doesn't appear at all in the editor. Like it doesn't exist. I attached it using the uploader.

The gif shows in the editor, the static pic doesn't.

1. Click 'edit'
2. Select 'Go Advanced'
3. Click Manage Attachments
4. You'll see the attached image at the bottom of the popup. Click the 'X' in the right hand corner of the attached image to delete it.
5. Click 'Done' and close the popup and save.

It's not super easy obviously.
 
Not a big deal, but in tapatalk, the forum highlighting/bolding to indicate new posts usually does not correspond to new posts at all. Nothing major.
