Random Commanders Thoughts

Griffin can't hit the broad side of a barn three times in a row. Open receivers and he can't hit them.

Who could when you've been hit so many times, and running for your life all the time.

Not on the final drive Pete. He was getting plenty of time because the Eagles were only sending 4 men at him. He over threw a wide open Moss down the side line that would likely have been a TD. He over threw Pierre Garcon on a 2nd and 25 when Garcon had his man clearly beat which would have been a 20 something yard pickup. He then over threw Aldrick Robinson in the end zone who had his man beat by 2 steps. The last pass I will not even mention because if he hits Moss in stride we are talking about OT.

Ladies and gentlemen, we are officially in last place in the division. I say that with tremendous indifference. It just doesn't matter.

Neo, Katie and serv...you guys are great sports. I was angry in chat and you tried to reason with me. I appreciate your respectful discourse.

It's never as bad as you think it is, or as good as you think it is.

Ever the optimist...you been drinking Bourbon today Bob?

i just think this season with Griff recovering from surgery and in my opinion coming back to soon combined with a D coordinator who is out of his depth resulted in us being behind the 8 ball all year. I still think Griffin is who we thought he was and I think Kyle is a good coordinator, we need some oline help and a new D coordinator and Some D talent and I think we will be ok next year.

This is with the caveat that Griff doesn't get seriously injured again before we get him some help.

Couldn't stay, but I had my reasons.

Not that it matters, but even if we scored, we likely still would have lost. Only one time in NFL history has a team ever converted three 2 point conversion in a row. The odds were stacked against us becoming the second to ever do it. I'd rather lose outright than have my heart broken on a failed conversion attempt.

Home game against the giants has been flexed out of prime time. Thank God. I've had enough national embarrassment for one season.

See Bob, I could buy this argument if it weren't for the talk prior to the start of the season. I would say 85% of the people on this site said we'd win 10 or more. I was given a rash of **** for suggesting 7-9 to 9-7 at best. Now that we look like that is the best we can do, we have excuses like this coming out.

Look, there is no doubt we were dealt a **** hand, but the predictions were full of confidence in light of those very deficiencies you mention.

Like I said we are not as bad as we think we are now, and we were not as good as we thought we were after last season.

i just think people really underestimated the seriousness of Griffins injury and the impact it would have on him. In my opinion he should not have seen the field until after the bye.

And our D has been historically bad this year, I don't see how you bring back Haslett or our special teams coach.

I'm not debating the point of his bad throws. My point is that when you get beaten like a drum every game, have to escape the pocket more often then not, even when your line does protect there's going to be inconsistencies.

But no other team in NFL history has ever had Nick "The Wonder Weapon" Williams 2-point specialist playing for them.

I will not give up on this team, until we are mathematically eliminated from the playoffs.
That's the way I've always been, and always will be.

Amen. I agree with what has been said about this basically being griff's training camp. I made no predictions at the beginning of the year. I was concerned about Griff. Yes they were saying he was fine, but having somewhat of a medical background I was truly worried.

I believe in him. And Morris. And now we have reed. We need protection for griff and a d line and a shored up secondary wouldn't hurt. I'm not prepared to say "there's always next year" yet but we need to look at this year in perspective.
