Thry have “leaders†who bitch and moan that they have no fan support. There are no leaders on this team.
I'll tell you what's discouraging for me. I don't even really want to watch the game Monday night. I mean, it's a nationally televised game in which we could move to 7-5 and be in the thick of the hunt for a division title, and I am not looking forward to watching it. I have something approaching a feeling of impending dread.
That bothers me. Because it takes a lot to get someone like myself to that point.

You finally wore me down brother. I've got nothing left but I do hope you are right.

Mike McCarthy fired.
Hell, I'd take him cold even going into tomorrow night rather than see Norval Jr with his deer-in-the-headlights look. Already know where that's gonna' wind up.
Could be. But I'm not sure Snyder's in the same place we are as fans. It irritates my fellow fans to hear it as we don't want to have to acknowledge anything that might remotely smack of 'excuses', but this is the 2nd straight season in which devastating injuries to key players has hamstrung Gruden.
That's not meant to imply that Gruden himself isn't hamstringing the team - maybe in some ways, he is the problem, or at least a significant part of it.
But the bottom line, and I think Snyder likely views it this way, is that we've played most of our games this season with large numbers of starters on IR or inactive due to injury. At the most critical point in the season, we lost our starting QB. Expecting a head coach to win the division, or even manage a wildcard playoff spot, given the circumstances the past 2 years may not be reasonable. Generally speaking, the Redskins have been on an upward trajectory since Gruden became head coach. I'm not sure Snyder is so exasperated that he will want to blow it up, again, and start all over again. And Allen? I think the man is bulletproof and nothing short of a string of 2 or 3 win seasons would put his job at risk.
